In honor of National Rosé Day on Saturday, June 12, The Gulch’s popular Gulf Coast eatery Marsh House is inviting imbibers to sip on 2020 Domaine Tempier Rosé by the glass for the low price of $15.
Widely recognized as one of the most iconic rosés in the world, Domaine Tempier’s rosé is widely sought after and comes from the benchmark region of Bandol, situated within Provence, France. Tempier is known as the epitome of terroir expression and their rosé blended of mostly Mourvèdre with a bit of Cinsault and Grenache is no outlier. It prominently expresses notes of peach, watermelon rind, fresh strawberries, saline, savory herbs. This coveted wine traditionally sells for $120 per bottle and is unavailable by-the-glass, so imbibers are getting a delightful treat in honor of the boozy holiday. The rosé special will be available from 5PM – 10PM.
Of course, guests can also enjoy a variety of other wines from the Marsh House’s extensive award-winning wine list curated by sommelier Todd Johnston. Guests can accompany their pink drink with a selection of fresh raw bar items such as Scallop Crudo - ponzu, nori, radish and Salmon Tartare - avocado, wasabi yuzu, tobiko; delectable appetizers including Fried Oysters - corn nage, black garlic aioli, frisée; and hearty entrees like the Spinach Bucatini - yellow corn, zucchini, salsa verde, saffron cream and Fried Chicken - jambalaya, pepper jelly.
Reservations can be made on OpenTable or by calling the restaurant at (615) 262-6001. Marsh House is located at the Thompson Nashville, 401 11th Ave S, Nashville. www.marshhouserestaurant.com
