Sam Ferrara Advances to Semifinals in Nashville Superspeedway’s “Next Rising Star” Contest

Rising country artist Sam Ferrara has officially advanced to the semifinal round of Nashville Superspeedway’s annual “Next Rising Star” contest, bringing her one step closer to performing on the pre-race concert stage before the Cracker Barrel 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on May 31.
The "Next Rising Star" contest celebrates the spirit of “High-Speed Honky Tonk,” blending the excitement of NASCAR racing with emerging country music talent. Nashville Superspeedway’s pre-race concert stage has hosted some of the biggest names in country music, and the competition offers one up-and-coming artist the chance to join that legacy.
The competition was narrowed to 10 talented semifinalists, who are now competing in a public voting round. The top five finalists will advance to a live audition event on March 28 at Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville, where they will perform for a panel of judges and a live audience. The contest winner will earn the opportunity to perform for thousands of race fans during the track’s signature race weekend.Supporters can cast their votes by liking and sharing Ferrara’s official Instagram post. Each like and share counts as a vote and helps determine which five artists advance to the live finale.

Long Island’s own Sam Ferrara is fearlessly bringing her New York roots into her love for country music. Immersed in music from a young age, Sam adds a modern twist, blending elements from multiple genres and even incorporating saxophone to create her own fun and entertaining style of modern country. Her sound is starting to draw comparisons to artists such as Brandy Clark, Carrie Underwood, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Megan Moroney, Trisha Yearwood, and so many other artists who have inspired an entire generation.
As someone who has always had the drive and passion for music, Sam has made music a significant part of her life from performing to teaching the future generation. Sam’s award nominated song 'I Need a New Fix' helped set the bar for this next chapter, telling real life stories that happen within our big world or and even our small hometowns. Sam’s EP Small Town the EP with Grammy Award-winning producer Matt Leigh will arrive in summer 2026.
