The 6 1 5 Featuring Spencer Jordan

Spencer Jordan is a pop singer/songwriter from Jupiter, Florida. After graduating from the University of Florida in 2016, he began his songwriting and artist career in Nashville, Tennessee. Spencer’s music is a mixture of the music he listened to growing up in his small beach town and the prevailing sounds found in today’s pop, and his writing focuses on the everyday struggles and victories that come with life, love, and growing up. He released his debut EP Season 1 in the fall of 2020. His current single, “You Won,” is now available on all streaming platforms.

Spencer Jordan's Top Six

What makes Nashville special to you? It’s the perfect town for mildly depressed, 20-something, functional alcoholics that were the best singers in their hometown. Truly, these are my people.

How would you say your hometown of Jupiter differs from Nashville? Well, a lot fewer of my friends here are getting married and having kids, that’s for sure...

Most under-rated thing about Nashville? I’ll be cheesy for a second and say the sunset here honestly slaps. From, like, every angle and vantage point. Sometimes I drive around just to see the sunset and the skyline.

Say you had a completely free day in Nashville—no work allowed. What would you be doing?

Ok, so I wake up at 1 pm… haha just kidding. Noon.

-Run up and down the capitol stairs until I curse God for giving me legs.

-I get home and mow my lawn, because it’s oddly cathartic, and my roommate’s been begging me to do it for the last 2 weeks.

-Mooch off a friend who lives at 2400 Charlotte so I can use their pool.

-Bring a pack of High Noon's which is my drink of the summer*

- At around 5pm I rally the troops to get happy hour drinks and dinner somewhere with an outside patio...Pancho and Lefty’s? Best tacos in Nashville.

-Then we hit red door until close.

(Wait, do I also not have work the next day? Cuz if so, tomorrow’s gonna be ROUGH…)

What are some of your favorite Nashville restaurants? Did I already say Pancho & Lefty’s? Yes. Am I going to say it again? Also yes.

If someone is coming to Nashville for the first time, where do you take them? The combo of Barcelona Wine Bar & Old Glory has never once failed.

One Thing About Nashville

What excites you most about the Nashville music scene right now? There are literally no rules. If anyone tries to get you to follow songwriting rules in 2021, they’re a narc. I go from a punk write, to working on my own pop stuff, to being in my friend’s music video all in one day. I think Nashville will always be known for its supportive community of writers, and that’s why I’m here. It’s always exciting, even when I have to write country! (that was a joke)

Five Favorites

What’s your favorite place to go for ice cream in Nashville? I’ve sold my soul to Jeni’s. Have you tried their peach cobbler flavor? ughhhhhhhhh *salivates*

What’s your favorite place for breakfast in Nashville? Hard toss up between Clyde’s brunch & Chick-fil-A.

Do you have a favorite music venue? Marathon Music works. Their floor is stained with my tears (of joy, mostly)

Favorite place to go on date night? As I said, the Barcelona/Old Glory combo never fails...

What grocery stores do you shop? I’m from South Florida so I’m basically a Publix evangelist.

Best place to grab a beer? Red Door… coincidentally also the worst place to grab a beer.

Best Broadway bar? Is that a trick question?
