Kendra & the Bunnies Top Six

What makes Nashville special to you? Nashville is so special in the way it supports musicians. There is music being played everywhere! It seems like every coffee shop, hotel, and bar is actually a music venue that happens to serve coffee or food.

Most under-rated thing about Nashville? I don’t know if I’d call this underrated, but the drive through the Smoky Mountains is delectable. Truly a beautiful sight to experience.

How would you say your hometown of Houston, Texas differs from Nashville? I’m from Houston, Texas, which is similar to Nash in its southern charm. Nashville reminds me a lot of Texas actually (mostly Dallas!) - I do, however, live in Los Angeles, California now and I’d say LA is much different than Nashville. More actors & less cowboy boots.

Say you had a completely free day in Nashville—no work allowed. What would you be doing?

No work allowed??? Does taking pictures for my Instagram count??!!? A completely free day for me in the city means a late morning photoshoot at some local spots, followed by lunch and a quick change into workout gear. Then we walk across the pedestrian bridge and through the area. After that, we get ready for a hearty dinner along with some live music…I smell hot chicken cooking! Alternate workout route is through Vanderbilt University campus - say hi to The Blair School of Music while you’re there. I took a remote songwriting class there during the pandemic.

Of course we love your style, any favorite Nashville shops? I really dig The Gulch. There are some really cute shops & eateries there!

If someone is coming to Nashville for the first time, where do you take them? Broadway, Printer’s Alley, 202 Friendship House, & Ascend Amphitheater.

One Thing About Nashville

How has Nashville influenced your music? Since I started working with my team in Nashville, my playing style on guitar has settled into a nice Blues groove. I also song-write in a more “around the campWire” way. I learned that from country music. If it sounds good around a camp-Wire with your buds, then it can pass the test in-front of any crowd.

Five Favorites

What’s your favorite place to go for ice cream in Nashville? The Baked Bear

What’s your favorite place for breakfast in Nashville? The Loveless Cafe

Do you have a favorite music venue? The Ryman!! I featured the venue in my newest music video too! For my song “Who Wants to Rock with Me.”

Favorite place to go on date night? White Limozeen

Favorite museum? The Nashville Parthenon & the Country Music Hall of Fame
